3 cups flour
1 cup salt
6 tsp cream of tartar
3 cups water
3 tblsp vegetable oil
food coloring
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large saucepan.
- Add water and oil to the saucepan and blend the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the dough thickens.
- Add several drops of food coloring until you get a bright color that kids like. Cook for about 5 mins.
- Take it out of the saucepan and on to a cutting board and knead well for a few mins. Add extra flour if its too sticky.
- Store in airtight container and it should last for about 3 months.
